Forrest
Amber Lipton was born and raised in Houston, TX and
from a very young age, had a knack for entertaining.
She began singing on her own and then added piano to
the mix, but Forrest was not content just playing someone
else’s music: she experimented with writing her
own songs and actively promoted herself to become quite
the local sensation.
At
the age of eleven Forrest appeared on Star Search and
won thefirst round in the junior singing competition
with Tina Turner’s let heraudition for Showtime
at the Apollo on Tour, which resulted in her winning
the competition and appearing on-stage at the Apollo
Theatre in New York.
When
Hip-Hop mogul, Master P, got word of Forrest and her
genuine talent, he setup a meeting and the two entertainers
immediately hit it off. Master P was not only impressed
by Forrest’s voice, but alsoher personality and
character. Indeed, Forrest’s altruistic values
keep her humble and she consistently reinforces her
motto, “stay in school, say no to drugs, listen
to your parents, and don’t be in a rush to grow
up! It’s okay to be a kid!”
Shortly
after the meeting, she began crafting her teen-pop sound
withthe help of producers and songwriters such as E
Poppi, Erin Stevenson, Chip for Mohitz Ent., Kiotti,
Myke Diesel, and Drumma Boy.
Forrest
first collaborated with teen-rapper Romeo (formerly
Lil’Romeo) on the set of her DVD movie, Crush
On U. In the film, Forrestdevelops a crush on her de-facto
babysitter (Romeo) and tries all sorts of tricks and
tactics to win him over. The light-hearted movie was
released in Spring 2007 by First Look Home Entertainment
and is available at large retailers (Target, Wal-Mart,
Best Buy, etc) nationwide. Forrest supported the release
on a meet & greet mall tour
in four cities around the US.
Forrest’s
creativity extends beyond movies and music. She’s
working on a cartoon of her alter ego named Madame Prez,
a clothing line, and a book collection. Presently, Forrest
is working on a song with Aaron Carter for her full-length
album, a TV show with Romeo for ABC Family called Kings
of Malibu, and another film titled The Prom.
Despite
her busy entertainment career, Forrest still maintains
a
normal lifestyle. Her love for sports keeps her athletically
inclined. She is an all-star softball shortstop, she’s
on her high
school honor roll and continues to compete in piano
competitions.
